| Southern Minnesota Paranormal™ was founded in 2008. SMP does not claim to be "paranormal experts". SMP firmly believes that there is no such thing as a "paranormal expert". SMP will never tell you that we are the best or that SMP is better than any other paranormal group. SMP believes that if a paranormal group tells you their group are "experts" or they are better than another group, its time for you to find another paranormal group to assist you. SMP is not beyond asking for assistance from other groups. When SMP finds ourselves in need of advice or assistance, SMP has no hesitation in reaching out to other paranormal groups we trust for needed advice. (See Groups We Recommend). SMP is a group of individuals who bring their own special talent to the group who believe in scientifically investigating reports of the paranormal as reported by our clients. We believe that all evidence we collect during an investigation is for the use and education of our clients, NOT to impress other groups, individuals or media. SMP does post "some" of our findings here on the SMP web site and it is only posted with the consent of our clients. SMP does not use mediums or Ouija Boards or any other means of paranormal investigating that we cannot scientifically document. When SMP receives a request for an investigation with reports of paranormal activity SMP believes that our main goal is to disprove or "debunk" all claims of activity made by our client. If left with activity that we cannot disprove then we "might possibly have a founded claim of paranormal activity". SMP does not believe that just because we have an unexplained EVP or strange sound on tape that a location is haunted. SMP has strict guidelines that must be followed before we will ever advise a client that SMP believes their location is haunted. SMP provides services in southern Minnesota and northern Iowa and educates the inquiring public, by speaking and investigating, by scientific means, about the paranormal. SMP services are always provided "free of charge". |

| Southern Minnesota Paranormal conducts paranormal investigations, by scientific methods and means with the assistance of audio, video, infrared video and still picture technology in attempt to disprove paranormal activity. |
| We Are Skeptics |
| The SMP team are all paranormal skeptics! We are searching for answers just like everyone else who has experienced the
paranormal. We use every scientific method available to us to help us find those answers. Why disprove the paranormal? Many times when hearing claims about the paranormal, the claimed activity, in most cases, not all, can be explained by various natural causes. If SMP cannot disprove the claimed activity and can document with scientific methods, then we are left with possible paranormal activity. |
