| Southern Minnesota Paranormal is aware that contacting someone like us can be a hard, stressful decision to make. You will
have many questions about your situation and what will happen if you decide to contact us. Below we hope to answer some of the most frequently asked
questions. Q: Do I need a paranormal investigation? A: That question can only be answered after our Case Manager, "Slim" Erickson or Founder, Rick Rice has discussed your situation. Q: What will happen if you investigate my home or business? A: The SMP team will bring audio and video recording devices into your residence or place of business, set up that equipment in places you tell us you have experienced paranormal activity to record any events that may occur during the investigation. At the conclusion of the investigation, SMP will review all of the evidence collected and schedule a time to provide you with the complete results of the investigation. Q: How long does an investigation take? A: The time frame of any investigation is up to the client but the longer we are allowed to investigate, the more likely we are to get results. Q: Is it possible that it is not paranormal? A: YES! SMP finds in most cases that almost all claims of paranormal activity can be disproven by scientific means such as: settling buildings or houses, electromagnetic fields, plumbing, furnaces, various critters and many other natural causes. Q: If you think my home or business is haunted, will you tell me? A: Yes we will tell you.SMP will tell you exactly what we find. "IF" SMP finds there is sufficient evidence to warrant a finding of a haunting, we will tell you and we will provide you with any and all evidence we find during the investigation to lead us to that conclusion. SMP will also tell you what type of haunting we think it is and we will provide you with any and all assistance at our disposal to assist you in your situation. On the other hand, we will also tell you the facts we find to tell you that you are experiencing natural causes that may be leading you to believe you have paranormal activity. Q: Who will know that I am having a paranormal investigation? A: You will and whomever else you wish to tell. In all cases, your information and the results of the investigation will remain strictly confidential. SMP will request to interview certain persons or individuals, with your written, signed consent such as neighbors, previous property owners or other persons who have experienced the activity. SMP will also, with your written, signed consent, conduct historical research at local libraries, newspapers and with local historians, if available, to obtain any historical information about your premises. Q: Do you use Ouija boards or mediums? A: NO. NEVER. SMP does not use or endorse the use of Ouija boards and we do not use mediums or any other method or means of collecting evidence that cannot be scientifically proven.
